Terms of entry

Prize competition terms for every Cha Ching room and The Big One.

Draft for review by the operator’s solicitor before launch. Bracketed items are to be completed by the operator.

1. The promoter

Cha Ching is a trading name of [REGISTERED COMPANY], company number [NUMBER], registered at [REGISTERED ADDRESS] (the promoter). Contact: [SUPPORT EMAIL].

2. Who can enter

Entrants must be 18 or over and resident in the United Kingdom. Employees of the promoter and their household members may not enter. The promoter may ask for proof of age and identity before paying a prize.

3. How a room works

Each room has fifteen slots at a fixed stake. An entrant selects a free slot, correctly answers the entry question and pays the stake, or enters free by post (section 5). When all fifteen slots are taken the winning slot is determined as described in section 6 and the holder of that slot wins eleven times the stake.

4. The Big One

The Big One has 1,200 tickets at £10 each and a prize of £10,000. No draw takes place until every ticket is sold. The draw takes place on the Sunday following the sale of the last ticket. A maximum of 50 tickets per person applies.

5. Free entry

Every room and every draw can be entered without payment by post as set out on the free entry page. Free entries are treated identically to paid entries.

6. Determining the winner

Before a room fills, the SHA-256 hash of a randomly generated seed is published on the room page. When the room fills, the winning slot is the first eight hexadecimal characters of SHA-256(seed:gameID) read as an integer, mod 15, plus one. The seed is published with the result so the outcome can be independently verified.

7. Rooms that do not fill

If a room has not filled within 30 days of opening, or if The Big One has not sold every ticket within [PERIOD], all entries are refunded in full and no draw takes place.

8. Prizes

Prizes are paid by bank transfer within five working days of the result to the account details supplied by the winner. Prizes cannot be exchanged. Results are published on the results page.

9. General

The promoter's decision on any matter is final. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
